RockEng is committed to continuing to provide our services to the mining and civil engineering industries

We hope you and your family have been able to stay safe and healthy during this unprecedented and difficult time.  The RockEng team is doing well and has adjusted operations for this ‘new normal’ of working at home.  At RockEng, we are closely monitoring the current worldwide situation and have implemented policies and procedures to ensure both the safety of our personnel and our clients.   At present travel within Canada is permitted, with field programs and site visits being reviewed on a case by case basis.  While we await relaxing of travel restrictions to international sites, RockEng is still able to work on many projects that can help support your company; this includes preparation for field work to enable us to complete site work as soon as conditions allow.  Now is also a great opportunity for conducting desktop studies, such as:

  • Stope Reconnaissance for quantifying historical stope performance to improve production
  • Numerical Stress Modelling for the optimization of pillar design, stope dimensioning, mine sequencing, slope stability, pushback sequencing and support design
  • Life of Mine (LOM) reviews in consideration of geomechanical factors for optimizing mine economics
  • Seismic Data Analysis for evaluating seismic hazard potential and risk mitigation
  • Due diligence reviews for pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
  • Backfill barricade design

As the current COVID-19 situation develops, RockEng will continue to monitor these circumstances and follow the health and safety guidance of local, provincial, national, and international agencies with respect to our business.  Please contact us if you have any comments or questions.
