Congratulations to Dr. Kathy Kalenchuk for being awarded the 2019 Canadian Geotechnical Colloquium! The award was presented to Dr. Kalenchuk on September 24th at GeoEdmonton 2018. Kathy will be presenting her talk, titled “Mitigating a fatal flaw in modern geomechanics: understanding uncertainty, applying model calibration, and defying the hubris in numerical modelling”, next year in St. John’s at the 2019 CGS annual conference.
